Solid Dovetail Cutter:
The cutting tool is a whole, and the width, angle, and depth of the steps are fixed.
Advantages: Good rigidity and stable operation.
Disadvantages: Poor flexibility, one type of knife can only process one specification of step.
Modular Dovetail Cutter Set:
Composed of a blade holder, blades of different widths, and bearings.
Advantages: Extremely high flexibility. By replacing blades and bearings of different widths, steps of different widths can be machined to accommodate acrylic panels of different thicknesses and requirements. A set of knives meets various needs and is economical and practical.
Disadvantage: The rigidity is slightly inferior to that of the integral type, and assembly requires attention to accuracy.
