The domestic carving tool market is projected to reach 9.15 billion yuan by 2026, with a total market size of 8.5 billion yuan in 2025, marking a 7.6% year-on-year growth, which exceeds the average growth rate of the general cutting tool industry.
The product structure exhibits a clear iterative trend: carbide engraving tools account for 63.4%, PCD diamond engraving tools for 18.7%, while the share of traditional high-speed steel tools continues to decline to 17.9%. Downstream demand is distinctly segmented: mold processing consumption makes up 38.2%, customized woodworking/stone engraving 26.5%, PCB micro-precision engraving 15.1%, and jade stone carving 12.3%.
The export sector performed impressively, with the total export value of carving tools reaching 1.245 billion yuan in 2025, marking a year-on-year increase of 9.3%. RCEP member countries accounted for 54.6% of the total exports, with Vietnam, India, Germany, and Mexico serving as key overseas markets. The overseas substitution process for domestically produced precision tools has accelerated.
The global precision engraving tool market will surpass $20 billion by 2025, with a compound annual growth rate of 5.1% from 2026 to 2034. The Asia-Pacific region accounts for 40% of global market demand, while China remains the world's largest production and export base for engraving tools.
